(I tried pulling up sales for the original Mega Drive games but I could only find specific figures for the Japanese release, and even those seem iffy, like 150k for SFCD. Phantasy Star Online 2 is available on PC and PS Vita. The NA release only got a 50K shipment and ended up selling about 40k copies. If you wanna talk about Shining Force specifically (ie the brand people recognise internationally, and the reason I brought up Feather) then the last one released with the SF remake for GBA, and it did about 35k in sales - hardly a huge success, but that's roughly in like with SF3 Scenario 2/3 sales, and about twice as many sales as Shining Soul 2 got. They're very Japanese games, they got much more promotion in Japan, they were always gonna sell better. It features the characters of the famous Shining series. Like all the playable characters in Shining Soul II, Tyroth is simply a young would-be hero who goes to fight in the kings tournament.
